As a kid all I wanted was to see the villain suffer. But I now realize that the best villain roles will make you love them as much as you hate them.

Puss In Boots in Shrek 2 and Wes Mantooth from the Anchorman movies

  4. The only disappointment is that every time a Villian redeems himself, he immediately gets killed.
    Wwwaaaaasaaaaaaaaaa!

  5. 1991 Terminator 2 Judgement Day. The Terminator redeeming himself by protecting Sarah Connor and John Connor.
Then ultimately allowing himself to be lowered into the molten steel by Sarah Connor to keep the technology of Skynet from appearing in the future. ♥"here, I can not self terminate. You must lower me into the steel."♥😢😭

  6. Spider-man 2 is such a fantastic movie. Also, I don't care what people say about Moonraker (1979). I adore this film

  7. Yes Darth Vaderrrrr

But also why was Loki only an honerable mention yet Yondu was on the list???

  8. Just a guess, #1 = Darth Vader killing the Emperor, Return of the Jedi.

I know it’s a TV show and not a movie, but Sunset, Starlight, Discord ect. Had good redemptions on MLP FIM EDIT although Tempest Shadow had a good redemption in the MLP 2017 movie.

Darth Vader/Anakin returning to the light will always and will be my favorite Villian turned hero redemptions, ever.

  12. What, no mention of Team Rocket’s heroic self-sacrifice in Pokemon 2000 after helping Ash with saving the world?

    No respect, I tells ya.

WatchMojo.com Have you thought of doing a list for the Top 10 Heroic Redemptions of TV Villains such as Dalek Sec [the former Leader of The Cult of Skaro] from "Doctor Who" who sacrificed himself to save the Doctor from being killed by Daleks Thay and Jast by getting in the way of their line of fire?

Hybrid Dalek Sec: "My Daleks… just understand this: If you choose death and destruction, then death and destruction will choose you."

Remember when Doc Ock was on the thumbnail?
Well, he still made the saddest sacrifice in the Spider Man movies

  15. Scott Johnson Reply

Even though we hasn't a main antagonist, Malfoy wasn't on this list?

  16. Bill Austin Reply

Boromirs death in LotR is as epic a redemption as you can get. Should be here.

Watchmojo, THANK YOU for making a video from my suggestion 🙂

  18. I’m the updated versions of the “Return of the Jedi”, Vader shouts “No!” As he tosses Palpatine over the edge, saving Luke.

  19. The moment Loki look at Thor for the last time and then say Odinson by that point everyone knows that he didn't have any tricks. Just desperately trying to stop his brother being killed
