My PlayHouse is a channel where i will show, what i am working on. I have this house, it is 168 Square Meters / 1808.3ft² and it is full, of half-finished projects.

I love working with heating, insulation, Servers, computers, Datacenter, green power, alternative energy, solar, wind and more. It all costs, but I’m trying to get the most out of my money, and my time.

  1. they make servers too big for the amount of actual hardware space they can easily reduce the size by half and still have ample space

  2. What is done with outdated servers?

  3. hi sir
can i do mining with this server and if yes i need to know how much hash rate it gives on minergate for example monero coin?

  4. Can you do one on a Dell poweredge rack server

  5. Would it be possible to explain how to install the OS in the micro sd?

  6. Hi friend.
In video like 13:00, the micro-sd memory can be one of the kingston, or only hp?

  7. When I studied I always wanted to work with servers but now I am programming all day… Thank you for uploading these videos, I love them 😀

  8. my uncle gave me an asus rampage 4 gene this doesnt support ecc ram, But I want to buy an e5-2660 on the Intel site it says that you dont need ecc ram, is this correct?

  9. when i was kid, i always think that motherboard are actually like a small city like capacitors = houses heatsink = hotels and coils = donut store

  10. I hope your colleague isn't a subscriber…

  11. The 10Gbe nics are usually on separate controllers, so the likelihood of them falling out is very low, if both do die, you probably have more trouble incoming anyways.

  12. Where would you reccomend I get my first server?

  13. There is no need to use a wrist strap…thats just funny.

  14. omg how can you forget about $40,000 i would lose my shit if i lost $50 xDD

  15. you just forgot about 40,000 worth of servers, no bigy hahahha

  16. Why 6 2x8Gb FC cards? That server is no SAN-Controller, or is it?

  17. Did you go to school for it work or did you have to get certified?

  18. Thanks great server video more please

  19. Now thats A LOT of 8Gb FC HBAs hahahha another great video Morten! Sent a like your way!

  20. Love the video 🙂
Any chance the servers that got retired some videos ago is going in the PlayHouse? 😉

  21. Thank you for taking us on this tour of these new servers, Morten. I saw an odd port over toward the internal USB and microSD connections that had a socket for 10 pins and was unused. Do you know what its purpose is? Can these servers be configured to run 2.5" and 3.5" drives in the same chassis all at once? Does your company ever purchase servers with only one processor installed, or do you always go with both straight from the manufacturer? Welcome back to work!

  22. You should get a HPE Proliant MicroServer Gen8 for your datacentre at your house. They are cheap and really good

  23. What do you do for a living? Sys Admin?

  24. Good job. Well done presentation as usual. Of course I dont understand most of it, but I try because electronics and computers is my job and hobby.

  25. WHen I up-specced 2 of these servers, i saw those same connectors (10:08) and thought WTF?
They are for the VGA port thats included with the Media Bay kit (the same media bay gives you 2 usb, vga and a slot for slim DVD drive) – but it took a while to figure out because the media bay kits weren't supplied with the servers and were on back order 🙁

  26. Great video 🙂 I stumbled upon your channel a long time ago but forgot to subscribe. I love the enterprise stuff. I am hoping to get my degree in IT Service management in March and I really like messing around with stuff like this in my spare time. I've only got an old DL360 G4p for now though, although ESXi runs like a dream on my old 2006 Mac Pro 8-core.

  27. are HP still sending the EULA in a box of its own? the last time i had a delivery from them i had a huge box with a single sheet of A4 in it

  28. In a few years, it might replace quite a few racks in the playhouse and probably allow you to keep it on for more than a weekend for that movie ticket price electric bill.

  29. Very nice HPE stuff. I'm in love 😉

  30. I dont know if these GBICs will Work in the Server. I know HP Switches are very picky when it comes to third party transceivers. Never tried No-Name transceivers in HP Servers before.

  31. HP ProLiant DL385 g6 i want know if you have any vide3os about this one cus i have one and i dont know what to do with or how appropriate it

  32. You can team those 4 Ethernet ports so you have a redundant 4 Gig link if the 10 gig fails.
